Organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Foundation ONLY supports programs in the New York Metropolitan and Boston Areas.

Grants to capital campaigns, endowments and research projects are generally not considered.

Individuals, annual giving programs, educational institutions or religious organizations are not eligible.

Grants are generally awarded for one year. Occasionally the Foundation will consider multi-year grants.

All grants are subject to yearly review.

The Foundation values creative, interactive engagement with our funding partners.  We encourage our grantees to build on successful projects by seeking additional funders to ensure the long term viability of their programs.  It is the goal of the Foundation, that after several years of funding, projects will be on steady ground and we will move on to seed new projects.
